Blockboard plywood is a specially designed compressed wood. The softwood strips are encased between two layers of wood veneer in the centre of the plywood sheet, enhancing the board’s structural stability through its layered construction. Although, unlike compressed wood, it is lighter and doesn’t split or break apart when cut, thanks to the softwood in its centre
