Our Journey
Creativity from the heart of the wood
Wigwam was born in early 2003, under the name of Savitri Woods. The first raw material procurement unit was established in Hoshiarpur to start a supply chain of raw resources used in making plywood and panels. The foundation years helped us thoroughly understand the industry as a whole and acted as an able launchpad for our journey into the ply-world
As the years progressed, so did we, becoming the largest supplier of unprocessed material for the plywood and panel industry in all of North India. The organized Indian market entered a shifting phase from 2008 to 2012, allowing us to discover new horizons and embrace eco-innovation. In 2016, we set up India’s first reconstituted face veneer manufacturing unit in Hoshiarpur. And then in 2018, the name we know and love – WIGWAM – came into existence, with the sole desire to deeply resonate with the needs of the market.
