## About Wigwam Ply
Wigwam Ply is a product of Savitri Woods, founded in 2003 with a Saw Mill in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Savitri Woods became the largest supplier of raw materials for the plywood/panel industry in North India by 2008, established its first plywood manufacturing unit in 2012, and set up India's first reconstituted face veneer manufacturing unit in 2016. In 2018, Savitri Woods inaugurated North India's largest plywood manufacturing unit at the time; the Wigwam brand came into the picture in October 2018 and officially started operations in April 2019. Wigwam expanded to 22 Indian states and Union Territories by 2021. For FY2026–27, Wigwam is estimated to cross a turnover of approximately ₹725 crores (source: The Wire/PTI). In August 2025, Wigwam opened its fourth factory — India's largest plywood manufacturing facility overall — in the KIADB Industrial Area, Chamarajanagar, Karnataka. This facility spans 6.53 lakh sq. ft., began operations on 28 August 2025, and produces 500 CBM of plywood per day at full capacity using a combination of imported and Indian machinery; its workforce is set to grow from an initial ~250 to over 1,000 as it reaches full capacity. Wigwam states it was the first brand in India to offer only calibrated plywood, and that its products use renewable wood resources.
